Neighbourhood
Renewal Advisors (NRA) Scheme
As part of the Government’s National Strategy for Neighbourhood
Renewal, the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit (NRU), based in the Office
of the Deputy Prime Minister, has made available a panel of advisors
working on the following neighbourhood renewal pathfinder programmes:
- New Deal for Communities (NDCs)
- Neighbourhood Management Programme (NM)
- Community Empowerment Network (CEN)
- Local Strategic Partnerships (LSP)
The NRA scheme aims to provide face-to-face help and advice to
partnerships and communities working on these programmes in the
88 designated “most deprived” areas in England. As a
member of the NRA panel, I maintain a close relationship with the
NRU attending various training and networking events to ensure the
advice I bring is up to date and relevant. I am particularly interested
in working with programme managers and stakeholders on resident
and stakeholder involvement, community facilitation and effective
partnership working as well as providing training and support in
programme management.
Eligible pathfinder programmes can receive financial assistance
of up to 100% to engage a Neighbourhood Renewal Advisor.
